Grid Continuity develops alerting and communications concepts for places where people may miss, misunderstand, or be unable to act on an urgent warning.

MAST is our emerging hospitality pilot concept, focused on understanding how hotels can communicate urgent information clearly to staff and guests.

The problem

During a weather event, utility outage, or other disruption, hotels may receive information through several channels. Receiving that information is only part of the challenge. Staff and guests also need clear, timely guidance appropriate to their location and responsibilities.

What a pilot would evaluate

A proposed MAST pilot would assess communication needs, clarity, usability, and operational fit within a limited test area and agreed scenarios.

Hotel management would review the scope and test plan before any evaluation begins. Findings would inform further development and any consideration of broader deployment.

Hospitality pilot inquiry

Grid Continuity is seeking a hotel partner for a controlled evaluation of the MAST concept. The initial discussion would identify the property’s operational needs, approved vendor requirements, appropriate test locations, and evaluation objectives.
